Membership categories

Association Member with voting rights – Open to Indian manufacturers of human vaccines from the Private Sector.
Bharat Biotech International Limited, Hyderabad, Biological E. Limited, Hyderabad, Panacea Biotec Limited, Delhi, and Serum Institute of India, Pune, are the deemed Founder Members of IVMA, eligible to take policy decisions on IVMA.

Ordinary Member with voting rights – Open to Indian manufacturers of human vaccines, from the Public Sector.

Ordinary Member with no voting rights – Open to Indian manufacturers of human vaccines, from the Government Sector.

Membership is restricted to human vaccine manufacturing organizations fully owned by Indians holding commercial marketing licensure from the NRA for at least one human vaccine being sold in India.

Office Bearers

The General Body unanimously requested Mr. Adar C. Poonawalla to continue guiding IVMA as its President and Dr. Krishna M. Ella as Vice President for another term of two years (2023-2025).

New Drugs, Medical Devices, and Cosmetics Bill 2022

IVMA welcomes the New Drugs, Medical Devices and Cosmetics Bill 2022 of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for approval by the Parliament and urges the Members to participate in the exercise to frame new Rules suitable for vaccines which must be categorized as prophylactic drugs versus therapeutic drugs.
