The Association

The Indian Vaccine Manufacturers Association (IVMA) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of immunisation using vaccines in India, creating a partnership between industry, Government, and civil society.

IVMA is a non-government apex organization, not-for-profit, industry-led and industry-managed organization, playing a proactive role in Indian healthcare development process. Association was founded in 2010 by four founding members from the private sector. IVMA will be the voice of India’s Vaccine business and industry. In supporting Government of India to co-create/design the policy to encouraging debate, engaging with policy makers and civil society, IVMA articulates the views and concerns of industry.

IVMA charts change by working closely with Government on vaccine policy issues, interfacing with thought leaders, and enhancing efficiency, competitiveness and business opportunities for the vaccine industry in India through a range of specialized services and strategic global linkages. It also provides a platform for consensus-building and networking on key issues.

Extending its agenda beyond business, IVMA assists industry to identify and execute corporate citizenship programmes. Partnerships with civil society organizations carry forward corporate initiatives for integrated and inclusive development across diverse domains including financing growth; promoting next generation manufacturing; sustainability; corporate social responsibility and governance and transparency.
