I am delighted and humbled to write to you as the new president of The Indian Vaccine Manufacturers Association (IVMA). Given the proliferation of plethora of diseases in the country today, there has never been a more fervent need to propel immunization through vaccines. Research and development divisions across biotech companies work ceaselessly in the interest of eradicating life-threatening diseases, and promoting health and immunity.
Four founding members – Serum Institute of India, Bharat Biotech, Biological E Limited and Panacea Biotech have come together to bring the IVMA to the fore, and further build on the vision of developing superlative healthcare systems in India. The association will work towards creating a synergy between three stakeholders – the industry itself, the government as well as the public to build more simplified and transparent processes that assist everyone involved.
For the industry, the association will be an opportunity to make its voice heard, partner with members of the public for numerous initiatives as well as work with different government bodies to take the agenda forward. In addition to that, IVMA will serve as an excellent hub for networking to ensure robust growth of the sector, which ultimately adds to and assists the healthcare set-up in the country.
We move forward with the intention to create a legacy that comprehensively supports the vision of sound, quality and affordable healthcare for everyone in India, year after year.
